Special Education

We offer a Special Education program for students with a variety of learning problems including learning disabilities. The Special Education teacher will provide individual programming for each student so that their individual needs are met.

We recognize that each student has unique abilities and learning styles.  As a result, there is a high degree of accommodation and/or modification to the regular program so that students can achieve success.  Our goal is to help them gain self-confidence and to challenge them to do their best.

Our Special Education program features individualized instruction with a pupil teacher ratio of 8 to 1.
We deal not only with core subjects and basic skills in language arts and math, but we also provide a balanced curriculum in all subject areas including physical education, science, social science, art, music and technology.

This class is not a behavioral class and therefore students with major behavioral concerns will not be accepted into the program.  The program focuses on academic success and meeting social and organizational needs.
