Preschool

Our Preschool program is offered at the Queensway Campus and provides a flexible schedule of full or half days to suit the individual needs of families.

A qualified teacher and teaching assistant are dedicated to providing a nurturing, creative and comprehensive learning environment for students who are from two and half years old, with a pupil teacher ratio of 8 to 1.

Our Preschool has a balanced program of play, skill development and academics. Realizing that the children are still young, they receive the nurturing and guidance of a loving Christian teacher. As this is often their first experience at school, they are gently guided to join in and explore the social and academic worlds.

Phonics, pre-reading, beginning math, story time, physical activity, computers and art provide a stimulating program.

Science, social studies and religious themes such as: Floating, My Family, Butterflies and Noah's Ark broaden the child's experiences.

Learning centres are highly interactive and include Books, Dramatic Play, Listening, Puzzles, Blocks, Art, Water/Sand and Writing Centres. A wide variety of Montessori materials are used to develop the children??�s learning.

French is introduced through songs and play. Children of this age easily assimilate the new sounds and vocabulary of another language.
