Junior Kindergarten (JK)

We provide a stimulating and intellectually challenging environment in which our children learn phonics, printing, journal writing, story telling, oral comprehension and how to read. Story time which includes some Bible stories, is a regular feature of our program.

Numeracy, addition, subtraction, fractions, patterning, etc. using manipulatives increases their understanding of mathematics.

Themes such as Autumn, Apples, Our Bodies, Magnets, Christmas, Community Helpers, etc. delve into the areas of science, social studies and culture.

Our teachers use a wide variety of concrete materials including Montessori materials to enhance their knowledge and thinking to open our childrens' minds to the world around them.

Music, art, drama, computers, physical education and French round out the program while adding fun and excitement to learning.

Students learn social skills in this well rounded intellectually stimulating environment.

We offer both a half day and full day kindergarten at our Queensway Campus so that our parents have the option of choosing the program that meets their needs.
